Mr. Peralta specializes in removal defense, successfully litigating hundreds of cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and obtaining legal permanent residency on behalf of predominantly Spanish-speaking clientele. Mr. Peralta also handles appeal work before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Through years of experience litigating before the EOIR, Gonzalo has developed expertise in the areas of asylum and cancellation of removal. He also has many victories obtaining reasonable bond determinations on behalf of detained clients.

Relying on his experience with the Philadelphia Defender’s Association, he works with criminal defense attorneys to minimize immigration ramifications from contacts with the criminal court system. Gonzalo’s expertise extends to filing family-based petitions for immigrants, naturalization applications, and deferred action requests before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Gonzalo is an Argentine immigrant and a native Spanish speaker. Prior to joining Audrey Allen Immigration Law, Gonzalo litigated plaintiff’s personal injury claims as well practiced criminal defense at the Defender Association of Philadelphia.

Gonzalo participates in pro bono activities including providing legal advice at the monthly pro bono immigration clinic at the Irish Immigration Center, assisting the firm’s pro bono clients from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and volunteering at pro bono Citizenship Days.
